A Successful Pitch Event for Entreprenuers
On May 28th, seven courageous female entrepreneurs pitched their business ideas, competing for the prize off $5,000 capital towards their business. This Sharks at the Beach Pitch Event marked our first in-person pitch since the shutdown and drew a crowd of 75 observers. Pat Renfro, the winner, impressed everyone with her natural sweetener company, "SoulSweet". She's now eager to navigate the certification process to operate her food-based business in Washington state.
The whole cohort of entrepreneurs put in a lot of hard work and determination leading up to this event. They were remarkably collaborative and supportive throughout the 12-week journey. They initiated their own book club, studying and applying principles.
They supported each other by purchasing each other's products. And during rehearsals, they even lifted one another up when emotions ran high. This Pitch Event was no ordinary competition; it was a testament to their camaraderie and determination.
