Sending and Welcoming Incredible UI Staff
The season of transition that Urban Impact is experiencing includes the sending of two of our Vice Presidents, Andre Benjamin, VP of Economic Development, and Jevon Washington, VP of Neighborhood Transformation.
Two years ago, Andre joined Urban Impact to equip marginalized business leaders. He led the growth of the Sharks at the Beach program, which provides valuable training and fosters confidence for aspiring entrepreneurs. His work has laid a strong foundation for future leaders, ensuring they have the tools to succeed.
Jevon has worked with churches to understand and address the needs of their communities. Through building relationships,
he has welcomed new Parish Pastors and grown our cohort to train churches to reach their communities. We are grateful for his faithfulness and leadership.
Both Andre and Jevon have transitioned to new chapters. Jevon is the Executive Pastor at Menlo Church in San Francisco. Andre, his wife, and kids will be moving to Atlanta, Georgia, for their kids’ schooling and to be closer to family.
Congrats To Incredible Staff Taking On New Roles
Eunice Lin-Sawyer
Vice President of Neighborhood Transformation
“I look forward to expanding the ways the Neighborhood Transformation team can equip, encourage, and resource churches to participate in God's work of rebuilding and restoring people and places. None of us can stay the course alone. Secondly, I'm excited to work with the team of young, vibrant Parish Pastors in the Neighborhood Transformation team that have been brought on in the last year.”
Joanne Manliclic
Development Director
“I am particularly excited about engaging with our supporters in meaningful ways, and working closely with our program teams to align our development efforts with the impactful work being done in our community. I believe that by leveraging our collective strengths, we can achieve our goals and extend our reach within the community.”
Greater Impact Ahead
We are excited about the future of our Economic Development and Neighborhood Transformation programs. God has us positioned for even more impact with business leaders and churches in the greater Seattle area.
